Job Description:


We are currently seeking a Senior Managing Scientist for our Biocides Team in our Harrogate (UK), Nottingham (UK), London (UK), Edinburgh (UK), Mannheim (Germany) or Basel (Switzerland) offices. Remote working will also be considered.

In this role you will work as part of a team providing regulatory leadership and technical expertise in Biocides Regulatory Affairs.Development and implementation of regulatory strategy for the approval of new and existing active substances at Community level and the authorisation of biocide products on a national, EU and global basis. Project management of complex multi-disciplinary regulatory projects and advising colleagues and clients with respect to current and developing regulatory processes and legislation, in addition to contributing to the management and development of the Biocides Regulatory Team and the development of new business opportunities.

You will be responsible for


Conducting consultancy work in the Biocides sector, including:

  • Supporting active substances and products in a regulatory setting
  • Preparing technical reports and dossiers
  • Managing the project work programmes, including budget, communication, QA and delivery
  • Representing clients at meetings with regulatory authorities or within industry consortia
  • Developing and implementing strategies for EU and global regulatory authorisations
  • Providing strategic regulatory advice
  • Development and management of staff where the opportunity arises

Contributing to the expansion of the Biocides business, including

  • Promoting activities to attract new business opportunities
  • Assisting with maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients
