Senior Managing Counsel, Regulatory Examinations

Overview:

The Global Regulatory team is seeking a Senior Managing Counsel to lead the Regulatory Examinations Management Program. The ideal candidate is an experienced regulatory attorney with expertise in regulatory exam management, payments regulation, and compliance programs.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Regulatory counsel with extensive examination experience
  • Understanding local regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
  • Identifying regulatory risks and trends, developing strategies
  • Guiding local teams within group-wide strategies, considering local market specifics
  • Effective communication with senior management
  • Creating reports and presentations, translating complex analysis into clear formats
  • Collaborating across functions and jurisdictions
  • Enhancing examination preparedness and practices

In this position, you will:

  • Partner with stakeholders to improve processes and solve problems
  • Build your internal network and gain visibility
  • Develop the Global Regulatory Examinations Management Program

About You:

  • Independent worker, proactive, solution-oriented
  • Legal practice in regulation, technology, finance, or corporate law preferred
  • Experience in payments sector advantageous
  • Reputable university degree and admitted lawyer with at least five years post-admission experience
  • Excellent communication skills, results-driven
  • Effective speaker and writer, able to communicate vision clearly
