Job description

Currently recruiting for an experienced and strategic public affairs and policy leader to step into a high-impact role at the forefront of UK healthcare and life sciences.
This position plays a critical role in shaping the external policy environment and positioning the organisation as a trusted strategic partner to government, Parliament, and the wider health policy community. The ideal candidate will combine deep political insight with the ability to drive engagement, influence stakeholders, and deliver meaningful change in a highly regulated, fast-evolving sector.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and execution of policy and public affairs strategies that promote innovation and strengthen the organisation’s licence to operate in the UK.
  2. Build trusted relationships with government departments, Parliamentarians, NHS bodies, and public policy influencers.
  3. Provide strategic counsel and political insight to senior internal stakeholders, identifying opportunities and risks within the policy landscape.
  4. Contribute to the development of policy frameworks and positions that support improved patient access, healthcare outcomes, and innovation.
  5. Act as a thought leader, shaping narratives around the future of UK healthcare and life sciences.
  6. Represent the organisation in external forums including trade associations, think tanks, stakeholder groups, and advocacy platforms.
  7. Collaborate cross-functionally with medical, market access, R&D, communications, and advocacy teams to deliver integrated external engagement strategies.
This is a unique chance to play a leading role in shaping policy at a moment of transformation for UK healthcare and life sciences. You’ll work across sectors, advise senior leaders, and drive initiatives that deliver real societal and business impact — all while being part of a mission-driven, high-performing team.
