Job summary

Michael Page seeks a Senior Manager Treasury Advisory to lead treasury transformation and advisory projects for a global client base. You will drive risk management, technology selection, and AI-enabled solutions, while building strong client relationships and supporting business development.

You will coach junior staff, shape team strategy, and stay current on IFRS 9/18 and ISO 20022, delivering high-impact solutions across the UK with a collaborative, senior-facing approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Corporate Treasury function with strong knowledge of financial instruments, risk management, and governance.
• Experience in treasury or accounting advisory within a professional services firm or corporate sector.
• Exposure to treasury technology solutions and AI is advantageous.
• Experience managing teams, coaching and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treasury transformation, risk management, technology, and advisory projects for diverse clients.

• Conduct treasury risk assessments across FX, rates, credit, and commodities.
• Provide expertise on derivatives, hedge accounting, and related treasury accounting matters.
• Support audits as a treasury subject matter expert and advise on IFRS/ISO standards.
• Build client relationships and contribute to BD, thought leadership, and market engagement.
• Lead client workshops and presentations; coach junior colleagues and shape team strategy.

As a Senior Manager Treasury Advisory you will liaise directly with your clients to deliver treasury advisory projects, drawing on your own expertise and identifying when additional input is required from other colleagues and subject matter experts across the business. Your role will include leading business development activities, including with alliance vendors and banks, contributing to the team's growth and success.

Description

• Deliver treasury transformation, risk management, technology, and advisory projects across a diverse client base.
• Review and implement treasury strategies, policies, target operating models, cash management frameworks, and treasury systems.
• Lead treasury technology and TMS selection, implementation, configuration, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Conduct treasury risk assessments covering FX, interest rate, credit, and commodity exposures.
• Provide technical expertise on derivatives, hedge accounting, financial instruments, and treasury-related accounting matters.
• Support statutory and internal audit engagements as a treasury subject matter expert.
• Advise clients on regulatory and accounting developments, including IFRS 9, IFRS 18, and ISO 20022.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, banking partners, and technology vendors.
• Contribute to business development activities, thought leadership, market engagement, and proposition development.
• Lead presentations, workshops, and client-facing marketing initiatives.
• Coach and develop junior team members, supporting their performance, growth, and career progression.
• Play an active role in shaping team strategy, operations, and the continued growth of the treasury practice.
• Maintain relevant professional qualifications and apply current industry knowledge and best practice.

Profile

A successful Senior Manager, Corporate Treasury Advisory, should have:

• Experience working in a Corporate Treasury function with good technical knowledge of financial instruments, risk management, treasury strategies, systems, governance and controls.
• Experience working within a treasury or accounting advisory function of a professional services firm/corporate business sector.
• Experience with treasury technology solutions and systems, including AI.
• Experience of managing teams, coaching and mentoring junior staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills; able to communicate complex matters in a clear and compelling manner.
• Highly effective stakeholder management and relationship building skills; credible and confident with stakeholders at all levels.

Job Offer

• Competitive salary ranging from £90,000 to £110,000, dependent on the level of experience.
