Job summary

BBVA is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Product Risk team within Corporate & Investment Banking. The role oversees independent underwriting, approval and ongoing monitoring of complex Structured Trade Finance transactions across EMEA, US and other markets.

The successful candidate will serve as a senior risk partner, providing independent credit judgement, transaction structuring challenge and portfolio oversight for a broad range of self-liquidating and asset-backed financing solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Structured Trade Finance, Commodity Trade Finance, Structured Working Capital or Credit Risk.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Experience presenting transactions to senior credit committees.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess and approve Structured Trade Finance transactions.
• Evaluate obligor, transaction, collateral, performance and country risks.
• Challenge transaction structures, collateral arrangements and legal documentation.
• Prepare recommendations for transactions requiring higher approval.
• Monitor the Structured Trade Finance portfolio for emerging risks and concentrations.
• Collaborate with Origination, Structuring, Legal and Distribution teams to develop financing solutions.
