The role

Lead and develop a first-class, council-wide property management service for the investment estate, ensuring legal compliance, efficiency, and maximized returns. Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing property management and information teams to deliver responsive, compliant, and profitable services.
  • Planning and delivering activities to facilitate effective business operations and asset development.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with customers, partners, contractors, and third parties.
  • Ensuring the investment property operates as a profitable business unit focused on customer needs.
  • Leading high-performing teams with development plans for continuous improvement.
  • Developing and delivering Business Plans with the Head of Strategic Asset Management for growth and profitability.
  • Benchmarking performance, implementing best practices, and fostering a performance-driven culture.
  • Providing a property management service aligned with customer needs and capable of competing in the open market.
  • Managing performance against financial targets, SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Motivating and developing employees, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
  • Overseeing non-operational property to ensure suitability and needs alignment.
  • Overseeing asset valuation programs and maintaining accurate property intelligence for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Implementing strategic asset management initiatives to enhance property values through refurbishments, redevelopment, lease negotiations, and CAPEX projects.

  • RICS qualified or equivalent with relevant senior-level property experience.
  • Proven success in leading property management or estates services.
  • Ability to motivate, engage, and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications
