The opportunity

As part of the EY Consulting Insurance Technology practice, you will work on engagements involving Insurance Core Platform implementations, leveraging emerging technology within insurance, and technology-enabled business transformations. Our focus spans multiple European regions, with continued growth in our team.

We seek enthusiastic individuals with an agile mindset, problem-solving skills, and industry knowledge in Insurance and/or Technology Consulting to support our growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with clients to establish a vision for their IT systems, processes, and infrastructure.
• Create IT strategies and architecture roadmaps, including transition stages.
• Understand the full architecture stack: network, data, application, security, and integration.
• Develop communication artefacts for both technical and business audiences.
• Define key design decisions based on engagement objectives.
• Coordinate with business and technical teams during solution design and delivery.
• Provide expertise in software evaluation, standards, and configuration design.
• Lead practice and people development activities within EY.
• Build and lead high-performing teams.
• Support architecture governance and ensure adherence to standards and policies.

Skills and attributes for success:

• Minimum 8 years as an Architect and 10+ years in Financial Services Technology.
• Knowledge of ERD/UML, enterprise integration patterns, and insurance (General, Specialty, Life).
• Ability to articulate technical solutions and build strong relationships.
• Experience with technology packages like Guidewire, Fadata, Duckcreek, Pega.
• Experience with cloud, AI, microservices, and emerging technologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications include:

• Structured thinking and communication skills.
• Experience in Insurance through top-tier consultancy or insurer.
• Experience as an architect, delivering solution design and requirements development.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams.

Preferred additional skills:

• Familiarity with Amazon/Azure cloud stacks.
• Understanding of TDD/BDD practices, blockchain, and other emerging tech.
• Business development and client management skills.
• Certifications like TOGAF or Zachman are a plus.
