The Work

Ripple is the world’s only enterprise blockchain solution for global payments. Today, over $155 trillion is sent across borders. Yet, the infrastructure is outdated and flawed. Ripple connects banks, payment providers, corporates, and digital asset exchanges via RippleNet to provide a frictionless experience for sending money globally.

We’re seeking a results-oriented, hands-on engineering leader to help manage and guide the team building the next generation of payment applications.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and mentor a team of software development engineers designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale distributed payment applications. You may also manage junior managers.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership
• Encourage and drive engineering best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as Product, Program, and Delivery teams
• Establish team objectives and quarterly plans aligned with business and organizational goals
• Own and deliver the product roadmap

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience building large-scale distributed systems, including at least 4+ years in Java
• 4+ years of people management experience overseeing 12 or more software engineers or managers
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience in building transactional systems, preferably in payments, banking, or e-commerce domains
• Experience with Agile development of distributed services, focusing on robust design, reliability, scalability, and security
• BSc in Computer Science or a related field
