Job summary

Grant Thornton UK LLP is seeking an AQRM Senior Manager to lead risk and quality support across Advisory, enabling sustainable growth while protecting the firm’s reputation. You will partner with engagement teams, review contracts, and develop training materials, helping to embed sound risk judgement and digital-first solutions across client-facing work.

Qualifications

• Must have ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent in a professional services setting.
• Experience in advisory or tax with a professional services firm is preferred.
• Evidence of strong risk management and quality control capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk management and quality support to nominated Advisory teams and other advisory/tax groups when required.
• Review drafts of engagement contracts and related documents to support contract finalisation with clients.
• Coach and educate client-facing teams to enhance risk awareness and enable risk-aware decisions.
• Develop and maintain training materials and deliver relevant sessions.
• Ensure controls are understood and implemented by client-facing teams and identify emerging risks.
• Contribute ideas to improve AQRM processes and promote digital-first solutions.
• Collaborate with Legal and Ethics to align policies and processes across service lines.
• Develop guidance materials and resources including templates for engagement reviews.
• Support service line file review and monitoring procedures.
