Job Description
The Sr. Product Manager sets and oversees the strategy for their products and partnership. You will be in charge of executional activities across multiple properties that help ensure the products are of high-quality, delivered on-time and within budget. The role will require experience collaborating and negotiating with licensors in a fast-paced environment while overseeing a team to meet tight deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Create the yearly product release plan alongside the Director of F1
Act as front-facing role of product team to licensors
Strategize and demand plan the use of autographs and memorabilia
Develop new and innovative products and technologies to push the category forward
Assist licensing team in managing racing partnerships and ensuring product needs are conveyed to and delivered by the licensors accurately and on time
Collaborate with global design team and global managers/directors to ensure brand guidelines are adhered to across sports
Identify market trends in stickers and TCGs and apply them to annual product
Work with manufacturing to ensure product is accurately spec'd
Work with sales to unlock new opportunities and channels while maximizing revenue
Determine and dictate product budget to managers and associates
Work with Licensing team to ensure rights are acquired as needed to maximize product profitability
Interact with consumers, retailers, and distributors to understand their desires and the drivers of product purchase behavior
Prepare presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews, among other events and meetings
Lead the process for creating assets and sales content to be used for marketing and online listings
Review contracts as product team representative to ensure all needs are met
Knowledge:
Comprehensive knowledge of licenses, both current and historical
Knowledge of collectible category & license trends
Skills & Abilities:
Expert understanding of the licensed goods landscape
Strong leadership abilities and experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to multi-task, juggle multiple projects and effectively determine priorities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - written and oral
Strong computer skills - Word, PowerPoint and Excel essential.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to think creatively and strategically while also being able to execute flawlessly
Experience:
5+ years brand or product management experience
Solid business and product development background
Consumer products or collectibles experience preferred
Education:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in marketing, business, or related field
