Job description

Every day, the world gets more digital thanks to tens of millions of developers building the future faster than ever. But with exponential growth comes exponential risk, as outnumbered security teams struggle to secure mountains of code. This is where Snyk (pronounced “sneak”) comes in. Snyk is a developer security platform that makes it easy for development teams to find, prioritize, and fix security vulnerabilities in code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure — and do it all right from the start. Snyk is on a mission to make the world a more secure place by empowering developers to develop fast and stay secure.

Joining Snyk means embracing our core values: One Team, Care Deeply, Customer Centric, and Forward Thinking. As a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment where fostering collaboration, leading with empathy, driving business impact, and inspiring trust are at the heart of everything we do.

We're seeking a Senior Manager of Product Design to drive the evolution of a compelling and user-friendly experience that resonates with both developers and security teams. You will champion the consistency and impact of the existing Snyk brand across our product.

In this role, you will lead a team of product designers who collaborate closely with product and engineering to create, test, and implement highly usable experiences that our users love. You will also partner extensively with leadership and cross-functional field teams on customer UX research initiatives, including leading design workshops and focus groups to gather valuable insights.

As the Senior Manager of Product Design, you will play a pivotal role in achieving Snyk’s mission of empowering software developers and security professionals to build secure applications using the Snyk platform.

You’ll Spend Your Time:

  • You will lead and manage a team of talented product designers working across Snyk’s products developing intuitive experiences across Web, IDE, CLI and API interfaces.
  • Champion UX Design and your team’s impact across organization and develop a product design strategy including latest UX trends, competitive analysis and customer usage journey mapping
  • You will deeply partner with Product Management and GTM teams to understand customer needs and be the voice of our customer internally.
  • Present Design Concepts and ideas to Senior Leaders throughout the company
  • Work collaboratively across multiple teams within Snyk to evangelize consistency and resolve design discrepancies using design patterns.
  • Build flexible design systems that enhance our ability to design more efficiently and consistently
  • You will guide your team to solve complex problems and deliver delightful experiences

What You’ll Need:

  • 8+ years of UX design experience with 3+ years in leadership positions
  • Experience developing and managing design teams and design work for complex SaaS product portfolio
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present to executives
  • Experience with Design tools such as Figma or similar
  • Proficiency in translating usability research, customer feedback and business requirements into consistent product experiences
  • Agile, fast paced and iterative development experience

We’d be Lucky if You:

  • Have exposure to working with complex engineering & product teams within a dev-tooling or cybersecurity environments
  • Formal education in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction or similar
  • Are hands-on, curious and love to explore new domains and technologies like Gen AI and a critical thinker prepared to challenge the status quo
