Job summary

Contentful is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Design to lead a team of designers across foundational areas including content performance optimization, application platform capabilities, business foundations, and design systems. You will balance strategic design leadership with people management, coaching career growth, and ensuring design has a strong voice in shaping the platform’s evolution.

Qualifications

8+ years of product design experience, including 3+ years directly managing and developing product designers.
Experience partnering with product and engineering leadership at the strategy level.
Strong customer-centric orientation and ability to influence roadmaps across multi-team product areas.
Experience owning or contributing to a design system at scale (Forma 36 familiarity).
Demonstrated success managing distributed, global teams and coaching career growth.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of product designers across content performance optimization, application foundations, business foundations, and design systems.
Partner with product and engineering leadership on strategy to shape Evolution of Optimization, Application Foundations and Business Foundations.
Define AI-native design leadership and evolve design tooling and workflows for AI-powered features.
Coach designers, deliver career growth, and ensure a strong design voice across the platform.
Collaborate with colleagues globally and manage cross-location workflows.
