The role is responsible for leading and overseeing Mace payroll service delivery in collaboration with UK and European payroll vendors. The role acts as primary liasion between Mace and our external payroll vendor network ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role holder is responsible for leading and managing a small team of internal payroll specialists.
You’ll be responsible for:
Oversees payroll service delivery for UK, European and expat/shadow payrolls
Acts as the primary point of contact with Mace's external payroll providers, monitoring service levels through the implementation of SLA's and KPI's to ensure delivery standards/ contractual obligations are met
Manage business reviews with external vendors (QBRs etc)
Supports the set up of new payrolls in new Mace jurisdictions
Builds a strong working relationship with the HR Services team around processes and continuous improvements to support best practice delivery.
Manages all internal, external and client audits, developing action plans to ensure that any issues are resolved in a timely manner
Develops payroll reporting and analytic capabilities including the delivery of performance metrics inline with the managed service vendors
Manages the resolution of Tier 2 payroll queries with the support of external vendors
Works in collaboration with HR Services, Reward, Tax and Finance teams to ensure payroll delivery and compliance
Proactively identifies opportunities for automation/ process improvement and works with HR techology to implement them
Manages payroll risks utilising a control risk framework
Collaborates on transformation projects within HR and cross functional transformation where required, acting as the subject matter expert by providing expert advice on payroll issues
Leads benefit transactional delivery for UK and Northern Europe
Accountable for the completion of the monthly financial reporting process relating to payroll reconciliation activities
Leads the Payroll team, providing coaching, development and training and supporting their ongoing professional development.
You’ll need to have:
Multiple country payroll and benefits knowledge.
Benefits administration and transactional experience.
Payroll accounting knowledge and exposure
Operational payroll processing knowledge
Payroll and benefits compliance knowledge.
Understand tax requirements for new jurisdictions, Changes in wage and tax laws, and other regulatory changes and requirements that may impact payroll.
Experience of managing external payroll vendors in a managed service environment.
Multiple country legislative/payroll knowledge.
Experience in processing expatriate and shadow payrolls
Implementation and set up experience of new country payrolls.
Payroll project management (or equivalent).
Knowledge of Appendix 5 FTCR regulations and application.

Multiple payroll and benefit country experience.
New payroll country set ups.
Project management experience.
Local country compliance experience.
CIPP certified or relevant payroll experience.
