Job Description

We’re seeking a talented individual to join our National Tax Team. You will be responsible for supporting tax colleagues to ensure that tax policies and procedures are up to date. This includes identifying and communicating changes and reminders, recognizing changes to regulations or professional rules and guidelines, and analyzing the results of monitoring activities along with feedback from colleagues.

As a Senior Manager, you will conduct monitoring activities to assess policy compliance. You will also oversee the Quality and Risk Review (QRR) process, which involves:

  • Managing the review process
  • Overseeing file reviews, including training and managing a team of secondees
  • Tracking trends and issues, analyzing results, and recommending changes
  • Reporting results to Partners, Directors, and Executive Committees
  • Ensuring remedial actions are implemented and progress is reported
  • Performing portfolio-wide analysis for reporting
  • Reviewing the process annually for automation opportunities
Additional Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Integrating new teams with a focus on policies, procedures, and risk management
  • Contributing to the development of effective wider policies
  • Responding to risk-related queries from colleagues
  • Overseeing the suite of engagement letters used in tax
  • Contributing to policy creation by CLA Global and monitoring network firms concerning tax services
  • Identifying improvements in risk management across tax
  • Participating in other risk management projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Degree preferred
  • CTA qualification and/or Chartered Accountant (ACA) preferred
  • Experience in a professional services firm required
  • Proven experience in risk management roles
