Job description

Your new company
My client is one of the earliest Forensic specialists to have launched in the London market, and together with the US has continued to expand its global presence as a pureplay specialist in quantum, valuation and investigations. Having had their own graduate scheme since the early 1990's, they have usually grown \"from the bottom up\" with the occasional, strategic lateral hire at higher levels; recent investment now enables them to move to the next gear, and in consequence a role for a Senior Manager/AD has become available.
Your new role
A really interesting blend of casework. This includes (inter alia):
  • Breach of Warranty/Warranty & Indemnity matters, eg in M&A
  • Completion accounts
  • Professional negligence
  • Valuations (main contentious but some non-contentious) - around 50% of their matters will have a valuation element or be valuation related
  • SJE determinations
  • Accounting investigations
  • CPOs
  • Loss of profits/funds/opportunity
  • Professional indemnity
  • Arbitration
  • Commercial disputes/litigation
  • Business interruption
  • Shareholder disputes
  • Possible involvement in cyber cases where relevant
The above include at pre-action, advisory, claim and mediation stages. As an SM you will of course be involved in business development, but there is a strong culture of event-attendance and team-to-team marketing.

What you'll need to succeed

What you'll get in return
  • The firm has an exemplary history of promotion to Partner over many decades. The vast majority of their Partners have become so internally (lateral hires being much rarer.)
  • The advantage of a specialist team/firm, but the ability to trade on a well-regarded international brand when required.
  • A very well-structured team meaning plenty of resource levels beneath you - from trainee, to qualified, AM etc
