Senior Manager, Investigations, Diligence and Compliance

Kroll’s Eastern Europe and Central Asia based in London and Dubai is seeking a Senior Manager (“SM”), based in London. The SM will develop and manage investigations and consulting projects cases, including client relationships, proposals, consulting and project management, and will have responsibility for quality and case completion and follow-up. A key element of the SM’s role is the development of new business and new clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Generate business independently through personal and/or professional networks, with a specific focus on UK and international law firms.
  2. Contribute to the development, management and enhancement of client relationships.
  3. Plan and manage complex investigations, including business intelligence, internal (client) investigations, consulting projects and forensic matters, with the support of Kroll’s expert resources, as they relate to Central Eastern Europe, Ukraine, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
  4. Monitor the quality of Associate research and analysis on the case, ensuring that Kroll’s high standards are met each time. Provide guidance and feedback on research where necessary.
  5. Write well-structured, logical and objective reports which present the research in a client-focused manner and address the clients’ central questions and concerns.
  6. Ensure high standards of financial and administrative case management, through to collection.
  7. Generate new ideas and support strategic initiatives to increase the success of the firm through increased revenue and profitability.
  8. Contribute to the professional development and performance management of team personnel and external resources.
  9. Build strong working relationships with colleagues across Kroll’s network of offices and various practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong academic background (Bachelor's degree required. Master's in relevant field a plus).
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, in English, with the ability to deliver eloquently written and oral reports.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Fluency in a language from the region - either Eastern Europe or other CIS jurisdictions - is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the regional business environment, preferably gained through practical experience working with regional clients.
  • 7+ years of investigative experience with professional services firm or other investigative or business intelligence firms with a focus on CEE, Russia, CIS.
  • Proven ability to develop significant new relationships and business in consulting services.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in project management and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills, including the ability to summarize information quickly and effectively from multiple sources into concise analytical assessments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to initiate, manage, develop, and maintain client relationships, ensuring that client expectations are met.
  • Experience working with diverse teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and market awareness.
  • The position will require regular international travel.
