Job summary

Diageo is seeking an experienced intelligence and security professional to lead global geopolitical analysis and the Travel Risk Management Programme within the Corporate Security and Brand Protection group. The role drives decision-support intelligence and programme delivery across the business, safeguarding employees and operations worldwide.

The post-holder will own critical projects, oversee support services, and engage with international security bodies to ensure proactive risk management

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in intelligence or security roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, timely, relevant, actionable intelligence to support decision-making and crisis response.
• Maintain deep understanding of local, regional and global security contexts; act as global SME for threats and risks affecting Diageo.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including security organisations, peers, government and law enforcement agencies.
• Lead the Travel Risk Management Programme: train travellers, keep security resources updated, embed controls in booking, and run country risk reviews.
• Own/lead a portfolio of CS & BP projects to enhance service provision and effectiveness.
• Oversee support services across Corporate Security and Brand Protection, applying geopolitical knowledge in practice.

Job description

This important role within the Corporate Security and Brand Protection group is primarily responsible for the provision of intelligence and geopolitical analysis to decision-makers globally, in order to protect Diageo employees and the business. In addition, the post-holder will own the global Travel Risk Management Programme, and other Corporate Security projects and programmes as required, and oversee the provision of support services across the group (such as systems and technology, knowledge management, training).,

• Provision of proactive, timely, relevant, actionable intelligence (from tactical security intelligence to strategic geopolitical insight), in order to help the business navigate security and geopolitical risks, and support decision-making, planning and crisis response.
• Maintain a deep understanding of local, regional, and global security contexts, risks, and trends. Act as global SME for security threats and risks, providing clear guidance on how/where/when they may impact Diageo.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including international security organisations, peer networks, and government and law enforcement agencies.
• Lead the Travel Risk Management Programme to ensure employees are appropriately protected when on business travel and duty of care requirements are met. Deliver fit for purpose training for travellers, ensure that security resources are up to date and accessible, and ensure compliance by embedding controls in the booking process. Run annual country risk grading reviews per defined process.
• As required, own/lead a portfolio of projects/programmes in support of CS & BP objectives, in order to enhance service provision and effectiveness.
• Oversee the provision of support services (e.g. technology/systems, training, knowledge management) across the Corporate Security and Brand Protection group.
  Deep knowledge of global geopolitical and security risks, and excellence in how to practically apply that knowledge in a business setting.

• Ability to apply expertise and sound risk-judgement creatively and pragmatically in order to enable business wherever possible.
• Display excellence in the communication of balanced and practical intelligence and guidance to leadership
