Natural England in England seeks a Senior Manager to lead the Thames Basin Heaths Partnership, balancing visitor access with habitat protection. The role is hands-on, combining strategic leadership with on-site engagement with wardens, partners and local communities.

You’ll develop and inspire a passionate team, drive conservation and engagement objectives, and represent the partnership to councils and boards.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a dedicated team of wardens
• Working with local authorities, landowners and partner organisations
• Helping shape the future of a conservation programme funded through developer contributions
• Representing the partnership with councillors and boards
• Ensuring the team delivers visitor engagement and conservation objectives
• Developing staff through coaching and leadership
• Supporting public engagement initiatives across the Thames Basin Heaths
• Based at Heathland House, Heather Farm, Woking, with regular travel across the area
• Lead a well-established conservation partnership
• Work with partners across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire
• Protect one of the UK's important heathland landscapes
