National Wealth Fund is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead the internal facilities team and manage external delivery partners. You will ensure safe, compliant and efficient workplaces across Leeds and other locations, embedding robust policies and assurance arrangements.
The role oversees health, safety, environment and governance while delivering cost-effective services and stakeholder satisfaction. A permanent, full-time position with a focus on continuous improvement.

Develop, implement and embed a facilities management strategy, supported by clear policies, processes and assurance arrangements, to deliver high standards of workplace services, corporate real estate performance, asset management and statutory compliance. Lead the internal Facilities team and manage external delivery partners to provide a proactive, colleague-focused facilities service, ensuring the Fund's workplaces remain safe, compliant, efficient and fit for future organisational needs.
Deliver a high-quality property, facilities, workplace and health & safety service across the Fund's office locations, ensuring operational availability, statutory compliance and a positive colleague experience. Develop, implement and continuously improve facilities management strategies, policies, processes and workplace services. Maintain oversight of the Fund's corporate real estate portfolio, including landlord and managing agent relationships, lease obligations, service charges, space utilisation, lifecycle planning and future workplace requirements. Act as the Fund's facilities subject matter expert, supporting workplace planning and ensuring the estate remains fit for purpose and aligned to evolving organisational needs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant facilities management, health & safety and environmental legislation and standards, embedding the principles of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across the organisation. Ensure effective management of workplace risk assessments, DSE assessments, PEEPs, inspections, incidents and corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment. Own facilities management governance and assurance arrangements, including monitoring and reporting on compliance, operational risks, supplier performance and contract delivery. Develop, implement and communicate emergency response, business continuity and workplace resilience arrangements across all locations. Lead facilities-related incident response and investigations, ensuring lessons learned and remedial actions are effectively implemented.
Lead the management, monitoring and assurance of facilities suppliers, contractors and service providers, ensuring delivery against agreed budgets, service levels, KPIs and compliance requirements. Monitor service performance, manage operational risks and drive continuous improvement to ensure effective and cost‑efficient service delivery. Manage the facilities budget, providing effective forecasting, reporting and cost control. Ensure appropriate systems, controls and reporting capability are in place to support performance management and assurance activities.
Lead, develop and motivate the Facilities team, setting clear priorities, standards and expectations to deliver high-quality and consistent service delivery across all locations. Build effective relationships with colleagues, senior leaders, landlords, managing agents, suppliers and contractors to resolve issues and improve service outcomes. Ensure facilities services are visible, responsive and colleague-focused through effective communication, engagement and stakeholder management.
