Overview

Join our dynamic Product Engineering team as a Senior Manager - Electrical Engineering. In this role, you will lead a talented group of electrical and firmware engineers, steering them towards technical excellence and innovation. You will cultivate a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while working closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership. Your efforts will directly shape the development of next-generation products, enhancing our competitive edge in the laundry market and delivering unparalleled value to our customers.

Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership & Development: Inspire and mentor a high-performing team of electrical and firmware engineers. Cultivate an environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  2. Project Oversight: Lead the design, development, and testing of advanced electrical systems and components. Ensure all projects meet budget, schedule, and quality targets.
  3. Technology Strategy: Create and sustain a forward-thinking technology roadmap, staying ahead of industry trends and technological advancements.
  4. Executive Communication: Regularly present project updates, technical challenges, and strategic initiatives to the executive team.
  5. Budget & Resource Management: Lead the planning of annual budgets and resource forecasts in alignment with organizational objectives.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineering, software engineering, product management, operations, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure seamless product integration and development.
  7. Best Practices Advocacy: Promote and integrate best practices in electrical and firmware engineering, including design methodologies, AI integration, and documentation standards.
  8. Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team and individual contributors.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  2. A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 6 years of leadership experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  1. In-depth technical expertise in firmware/software development, electrical engineering principles, design, and analysis.
  2. Demonstrated success in managing and leading engineering teams, with responsibilities including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  3. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
  4. Strategic thinking and planning capabilities, with proven experience in developing and executing long-term technology roadmaps.
  5. Solid business acumen including expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  6. Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  7. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  8. Ability to influence, drive consensus, and build collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  9. Experience with firmware design and best coding practices.

Travel:

  1. Travel on an as-needed basis, up to 15% of the time.
