Senior Manager Credit Portfolio Growth and Value


The purpose of the Senior Manager - Credit Portfolio Growth and Value is to identity and shape opportunities to drive profitable growth for flexpay, our embedded credit product. This is a highly commercial role, responsible for assessment, identification and delivery of strategic growth and profitability opportunities across our embedded credit portfolio. Identifying where and how credit can drive greater value; from product distribution and customer onboarding to lifecycle strategies such as CRM, rewards and servicing.

This role will relentlessly focus on profitable growth opportunities and will require exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, align cross-functional teams and drive action across the wider Currys business / across our lending partners. As well as focusing on driving value for Currys, this role will seek to grow the credit portfolio, improve engagement, optimize lifetime value and make flexpay more compelling, rewarding and valuable for our customers.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Be the driving force that identifies the key opportunities or problem statements across the flexpay value chain – must be deeply engaged with areas such as categories, channels, product, marketing and the lender to do so

• Effectively lobby for improvements, influence decision-making, and energize teams around key initiatives

• Play a key role in the shaping and execution of the portfolio profit and growth strategy: a structured, data-led plan for growth and profitability

• Leverage key credit levers – support broader team and the lender to optimize interest-bearing mix, supplier funding, and targeted credit promotions

• Explore diversification efforts

• Develop a customer segmentation approach that directly addresses business challenges

• Work in deep partnership with the lender – ensure a collaborative, results-driven relationship that aligns both parties on strategic goals

• Maximize credit sales – ensure credit is fully integrated into product category and marketing strategies

• Develop a clear lifecycle communications vision (service and CRM)

• Use data & insight to drive action

Key Skills, & Experience

· A deep knowledge of credit / financial services value creation and profitability

· Exceptional communicator / clarity of thought to connect Currys, Credit and lender(s)

· Strong commercial acumen and performance focus

· Cross-functional leadership – proven ability to align and influence across functions / matrix structure

· Strong influencer & lobbyist – Ability to shape lender priorities, secure investment, and push for business-critical changes.
