Capital One UK seeks an experienced Senior Manager of Communications Project Management to shape and execute executive communications strategy for senior leaders within the Global Payment Network. Hybrid role with two days in the Farnborough office and three remote days.

About the role: The Global Payment Network Chief of Staff team is seeking an experienced communications leader to provide strategic consultative executive communications support.

As a key advisor to senior leaders, this executive communications leader will shape and execute the communications strategy to drive the vision and strategy for executives within the organization, while supporting the unique team culture we are building in the Network.

What you’ll do:

• Serve as a strategic partner to plan and prepare effective, thoughtful and engaging internal communications that educate, inform, connect and inspire team members.
• Lead all facets of communications including all-associate meetings, speaking engagements, team events, and organizational change management.
• Elevate stories from within client group to fuel our Network-wide editorial calendar.
• Create and execute communications programming that supports all Network associates.
• Evaluate performance for communications based on real-time metrics and other key performance indicators to recommend strategy and refine as needed.
• Partner with HR, Chiefs of Staff, Global Enterprise Communications, and other partners to deliver on tactics and strategic outcomes

A typical day in the life of this role could look like:

• Participate in a senior leadership team meeting to stay informed of strategic priorities and have a voice at the table influencing conversations and thinking
• Consult with an executive on talking points for their upcoming speaking engagement and create the supporting slides and materials
• Work with top of house Chief of Staff team to executive communication and engagement program that supports our associates and teams
• Strategize with HR partners on ways to leverage communications to address feedback from the latest associate survey
• Draft a leader communication to inspire the team, recognize recent big wins and keep team members informed of how we’re delivering against our priorities
• Meet with the Chief of Staff to understand the deeper business context that should be communicated to the broader associate population

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills across diverse audiences.
• Proven experience leveraging data to design and execute communication strategies, programs, and events.
• Ability to provide strategic thought leadership to senior executives while translating complex information into clear, engaging messaging.
• Innovative mindset focused on driving efficiencies across strategies, workflows, and operating models.
• Proficiency in designing and deploying communication cascades across complex, matrixed organizations.
• Strong negotiation, influence, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of delivering competing, high-priority projects on time and within budget.
• Customer-centric approach with a history of building strong, collaborative workplace relationships.

Where and how you'll work

This is a permanent position based in our Farnborough office. We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You'll spend two days a week in the office.
