Job Title: Senior Communications Manager, Call of Duty EMEA

Location: Office based (Soho, London) & hybrid work from home

Role Overview

As Senior Communications Manager for EMEA, you are the strategic lead for public relations and communications initiatives across the region for Activision, including the Call of Duty franchise. Working closely with communications leadership, you will drive planning across narrative development, media engagement, crisis response, and cross-functional alignment to ensure brand consistency and impact across diverse markets. You will thrive in an energetic team environment, will be highly organized and able to work independently in a constantly evolving and adapting landscape, while contributing to the goals of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and execution of regional communications strategies and plans aligned with global brand, commercial and communication goals.
  2. Establish PR and Creator communication strategies for each game release, including gaming specialist, lifestyle and broadcast mainstream media and consumer-focused campaigns.
  3. Collaborate closely with global HQ, working with functional leads and teams to ensure PR plans are integrated into an overall go-to-market strategy.
  4. Support Territory Communications teams to deliver local market success through local communications.
  5. Campaign & Event Management.
  6. Oversee major product reveals and experiential activations.
  7. Crisis & Issues Management, aligning messaging with global communications leadership.
  8. Coordinate with Microsoft and Xbox teams on joint communications in collaboration with Activision leadership.
  9. Use measurement tools to evaluate campaign success and deliver reports to internal stakeholders.
  10. Assist with financial planning, budget tracking, and demonstrating return on investment.
  11. Engage with key media, partners, and creators to support communications delivery.
  12. Manage day-to-day contact with incumbent agency network.
Key Skills & Experience

This senior management role requires a can-do attitude, creativity, and independence. You should have:

  • A relevant Degree or higher education (preferred).
  • Extensive experience in Communications Management, ideally within entertainment brands.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills; additional European languages are advantageous.
  • Strong prioritization and deadline management skills.
  • Knowledge of business planning, targeting, segmentation, and media trends.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting and ROI focus.
  • Self-motivation with a track record of exceeding performance standards.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Confidence, initiative, approachability, and team collaboration skills.
  • Expertise in media relations, crisis management, cross-cultural communication.
  • Understanding of the EMEA media landscape and influencer ecosystem.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
