The Role

Our Digital Auditor & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Manager with a blend of accounting & FSA skills, deep data terminology proficiency, and an understanding of advanced data techniques. This role involves identifying opportunities to refine audit methodologies through data analytics.

While experience with analytics tools is not mandatory, a strong technology foundation is required. The ideal candidate will have exceptional data literacy and advanced Excel skills. As a Senior Manager, you will lead data analytics on audit engagements, managing diverse operational, finance, and ERP systems.

Joining KPMG’s Clara Analytics and Technology team, you will lead and champion data analytics initiatives, providing strategic guidance across various portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of technology and Data & Analytics (D&A) across audit engagements, aligning with firm goals.
  • Analyze outputs to derive insights and identify areas for deeper testing, enhancing D&A's role in audits.
  • Review D&A outputs, collaborate with technical teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Present complex analyses to audit teams using visualization tools like PowerBI and Celonis.
  • Lead the technology strategy for audit tenders and ignition events.
  • Compile insights and findings into reports and presentations for senior management and audit committees.
  • Guide audit teams on data extraction and sharing processes.
  • Ensure D&A documentation compliance and maintain audit files.
  • Manage budgets, monitor engagement finances, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.

Experience

  • Leadership in financial statement audits and strategic use of D&A.
  • Ability to navigate complex data with analytical skills and curiosity about data's role in assurance.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with impactful recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualification or equivalent, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
