Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to acquire new mandates and expand the client base.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling services to existing clients to strengthen relationships and increase revenue.
- Establish meaningful relationships with intermediaries and participate in industry events, networks, and conferences.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of HIGHVERN's products, services, systems, and capabilities.
- Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to contract signing, ensuring smooth handover to the client service team.
- Identify and execute business development strategies to enter new markets and customer segments.
- Build and sustain strong, long-lasting client relationships through excellent service and understanding client needs.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and adapt strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and client services, to deliver tailored solutions and unified client management.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and develop strategies to attract new business.
Candidate Requirements
- 7-10 years of relevant industry experience, with proven senior management experience in a funds environment.
- Strong track record of building client and intermediary relationships that lead to follow-on business.
- Knowledge of fund structuring and regulatory frameworks, especially related to private capital strategies (PE, VC, Debt, RE), and ability to discuss jurisdictional advantages/disadvantages.
- Successful history of winning new clients and mandates, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Innovative, proactive approach to business development and idea generation.
- Extensive network within the funds industry, including key intermediaries and stakeholders.
- Experience with fund structures in jurisdictions such as Jersey, Guernsey, Ireland, or Luxembourg is advantageous.
- Background in fund management, investor relations, M&A, consulting, or auditing is a plus.
- Experience in marketing and selling professional services, including negotiations and closing deals at executive levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to present effectively.
- Professional qualification as a chartered accountant or similar, or a relevant business or economics degree/masters.
