Senior Management Accountant

Our Business Support teams deliver vital services to ensure the success of our business divisions, including HR, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Legal, Estates, Tech, Security, IT, and Fleet. Every team member contributes to building and maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure 24/7.

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the Senior Management Accountant will work on an exciting joint venture within our Rail division, owning the financial control and reporting of the HS2 JV, ensuring accurate monthly reporting and forecasting, and supporting ad hoc requirements.

This hybrid role requires being in Warwick HQ 2-3 days weekly and is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities include:

• Represent finance on the HS2 JV, attend project meetings, produce reports
• Prepare and present monthly Contract Review for HS2 JV
• Ensure revenue recognition, cost forecasting, working capital, and accruals are accurate
• Coordinate HS2 JV audits and reviews
• Support payment applications, change requests, and JV documentation
• Monitor disallowed costs and their impact on accounts and profit sharing
• Be the point of contact for HS2 JV finance queries
• Adhere to JV accounts and operating protocols

Candidate profile:

Experienced Senior Management Accountant, comfortable in fast-paced, high-profile projects, preferably with experience in the technology sector within medium to large organizations.

Key Requirements:

• CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis
• Experience in project-based or JV environments
• Advanced Excel and ERP skills, detail-oriented
• Collaborative mindset, partnering with finance and operations
