The role in a nutshell: The Senior Management Accountant is crucial in enabling data-driven decisions by ensuring accurate and timely management accounts, financial reconciliations, and reporting. This role demands high accuracy, analytical skills, and collaboration with stakeholders to enhance financial insights and processes. The successful candidate will own financial processes, escalate issues appropriately, and contribute to improving financial controls and reporting standards.
A bit about the Finance Department: We are responsible for maintaining the financial health of the business through accurate reporting, risk management, and treasury management. The team supports strategic initiatives, ensures compliance, and drives efficiency and process improvements.
What you’ll be doing:
- Management Accounts & Reporting: Assist in preparing and overseeing management accounts for accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Controls & Reconciliations: Perform and oversee balance sheet reconciliations, resolving queries and maintaining controls.
- Treasury & Cashflow Management: Support bank account management, treasury facilities, and cashflow forecasting.
- Audit & Compliance: Assist with audits, ensuring adherence to regulations and policies.
- Data Management & Systems: Support the accuracy of financial data, including system updates.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Ad-hoc Analysis & Presentations: Conduct financial analyses and prepare reports for senior management.
- Governance & Best Practices: Ensure financial activities comply with policies, reporting discrepancies.

Key Experience & Skills:
Essential
- Qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant.
- Extensive experience in finance or management accounting.
- Strong technical accounting background, ideally in leasing.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Desirable
- Experience in FCA-regulated environments.
- Familiarity with SAP and Sofico Miles.
- Knowledge of leasing accounting techniques.
- 3-5 years PQE.
