Senior Management Accountant - Crypto and Blockchain

Financial Services

City of London - 3 days a week in office hybrid



Accounting -

  • Maintain the financial accounts for 12 legal entities, working closely with an accountant based in India to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting
  • Lead the month-end close process across all entities, ensuring timely completion of journals, supporting schedules, and reconciliations to deliver accurate and consistent reporting
  • Perform and review complex reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies, unreconciled items, and irregularities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records
  • Ensure accurate treatment and posting of accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and other key accounting adjustments
  • Manage the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly VAT returns across the Group, with a strong focus on UK compliance and coordination with local advisors where required




Reporting & Analysis -
  • Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts across the Group
  • Support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform variance analysis to provide insight into financial performance and discrepancies
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure reporting deadlines are met and data integrity is maintained
  • Assist in the ongoing development of reporting templates and KPIs to support decision-making




Audit & Compliance -
  • Support the Group's annual audit process under US GAAP and Local compliance, preparing audit schedules and resolving queries in collaboration
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation, resolving queries in collaboration with the Group Financial Controller
  • Maintain accurate working papers and reconciliations aligned with audit and internal control standards
  • Coordinate with external consultants to support local audits and compliance requirements, ensuring timely submission of statutory documentation and fulfilment of jurisdictional obligations across all subsidiaries




Process Improvement -
  • Identify inefficiencies in existing accounting systems and processes; propose and implement improvements
  • Contribute to strengthening internal controls and enhancing reporting accuracy and timeliness

  • Professional Certification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Proven experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations, including handling transactions in a multicurrency environment
  • Strong background in reviewing accounts, with experience in forensic analysis and investigating discrepancies
  • Experience managing the financial reporting of multiple legal entities is essential
  • Knowledge of accruals, prepayments, and other key accounting adjustments
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with the ability to add immediate value to the Finance team




Skills:
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
