SF Recruitment are partnering with a Solihull based business to recruit a Senior Management Accountant. This role offers ownership of the management accounting function and close collaboration with senior finance leadership during a growth phase.

You will be a hands-on, commercially minded finance professional who drives process improvements, supports budgeting/forecasting, and guides a small finance team to deliver accurate reporting.

Formación

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience in management accounting.
• Hands-on finance professional able to own end-to-end month-end process.
• Experience managing junior finance team members and guiding performance.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of the month-end process and deliver timely management accounts.
• Lead monthly reporting, variance analysis and provide financial insight to senior stakeholders.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and financial controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and wider FP&A activities with the FP&A Lead.
• Manage and develop a Finance team, providing guidance and coaching.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems and processes.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to support business performance during change.

SF Recruitment are working with a well–established and growing business based in Solihull to recruit a Senior Management Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the management accounting function, working closely with senior finance leadership and supporting the continued development of the wider finance team.

The role would suit a hands–on, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys taking responsibility for the numbers, improving processes and supporting a business going through an exciting period of growth and change.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the month–end process, ensuring accurate and timely management accounts.
• Lead on monthly reporting, variance analysis and providing meaningful financial insight to senior stakeholders.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and financial controls.
• Work closely with the FP&A Lead to support budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning.
• Manage and support a Management Accountant, providing guidance and helping develop the team.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems and finance processes.
• Work closely with senior finance stakeholders to support business performance and ongoing change.

About you

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong experience across management accounting and month–end reporting.
• Comfortable taking ownership of a finance process and working with senior stakeholders.
• Previous experience supporting or managing junior finance team members.
• A proactive, hands–on approach with the ability to improve processes and adapt to a changing environment.
