Job description

Title: Senior Management Accountant

Salary: 55,000 - 70,000 generous bonus & wider benefits

Location: London, hybrid working offered (3/4 days WFH)

Our client, an EV Charging Infrastructure group headquartered in London with operations across the country, are currently seeking a commercially aware and detail-oriented Senior Management Accountant to join their growing finance team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, ensuring all relevant commentary and analysis is included.
  • Oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with internal controls.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal preparation, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Support the preparation of corporation tax packs and ensure accurate and timely submission of tax-related information to external advisors and HMRC.
  • Monitor daily cash balances, manage short-term cash flow forecasting, and support banking relationships to ensure liquidity and funding needs are met.
  • Work closely with operational teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
  • Monitor working capital, ensuring efficient cash management and reporting.
  • Liaise with auditors, assisting with annual audit processes and statutory financial reporting.
  • Support the development and improvement of financial systems, processes, and internal controls.

Requirements:
  • Be degree educated with ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) professional accounting qualification.
  • Proven experience preparing full sets of management accounts.
  • Prior experience overseeing AP/AR processes is essential.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Business Central (MBC) is desirable but not essential
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a sound understanding of financial principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to drive process improvement.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in data analysis and financial modelling.
