Job summary

Iceland is seeking a senior Management Accountant to deliver commercially focused financial insight across our Supply Chain and Logistics teams. You will translate complex numbers into actionable stories for operational colleagues, supporting cost control and efficiency improvements.

You'll build strong stakeholder relationships, consolidate forecasts and budgets for multiple 3PLs and head office functions, and ensure robust financial governance across the function.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to identify opportunities, challenge performance and add value.
• Advanced Excel skills essential, with ability to analyse large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Logistics and Head Office functions.
• Preparation of periodic management accounts with variance analysis for review by Senior Finance Manager and operational teams.
• Prepare and maintain accurate departmental balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring robust financial control and governance.
• Partner with operational teams and 3PL providers to understand cost drivers and identify efficiency improvements and cost savings.
• Prepare and consolidate robust half-yearly forecasting and budgets for multiple 3PLs and head office departments.
• Partner with multiple departments to calculate and process inter-department transfers.
• Support other members of the team and the business with ad hoc duties.

The opportunity

We're looking for a senior level Management Accountant to provide clear, commercially focused financial insight to our Supply Chain & Logistics teams. You'll bring the story behind the numbers to life, helping operational colleagues understand performance, control costs and identify opportunities to work more efficiently.

What you'll be doing

What you'll bring

• Industry experience within the Logistics sector is advantageous, but not essential


• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities, challenge performance and add value

• Advanced Excel skills essential, with previous experience of analysing large volumes of data
