Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION Drive financial performance across three business areas and two key contracts, delivering strategic insights, managing projects, and influencing senior stakeholders with expert advice in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Your Role

As Senior Management Accountant, you’ll be the strategic financial partner across three dynamic business areas and two high-impact contracts. You’ll be the go-to expert for Operations and General Managers—building trusted relationships and delivering sharp, actionable financial insights that drive performance. This high-profile role demands agility and precision. You’ll tackle financial challenges head-on, balancing project work with business-as-usual operations. Your expertise will uncover cost efficiencies and shape key recommendations that influence decision-making at the top.

Your Responsibilities

Enjoy the ability of flexible working within a highly proactive and productive team!

  • This role will see you have line management responsibility of 1 colleague.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to ensure that the contract solution remains appropriate and effective, areas of concern are identified and addressed, continuous improvement opportunities are acted upon and required changes in business practice are introduced accordingly.
  • Completion of month-end management accounts along with conducting monthly reviews with Contract Managers.
  • Prepare accurate and informed monthly rolling forecasts with Department Managers, together with ad hoc month-end analysis to support the Financial Controller.
  • Design and produce accounts packs for new contracts within the Division whilst also reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Create and maintain management reporting spreadsheets alongside preparing contract budget packs.
  • Aid Business Development to prepare costings for new business proposals.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • This role is more about your experience than qualifications.
  • Commercial acumen and show conviction in own judgement.
  • Adapts communication style to suit audience.
  • Draws logical conclusions from available information.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Logistics background preferred but not essential.

Please be aware that by applying for this role, you are agreeing to participate in the employment screening process. This process will include criminal record checking and identity validation. This means that KN will ask successful applicants to provide certain information and documentation to enable these checks to be conducted. Any appointment will then be strictly conditional upon, and subject to, the receipt of satisfactory results of these checks.
