Job description

Leading manufacturing companies are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance Team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this opportunity will give the successful candidate great exposure to all aspects of the business, including acquisitions.

A broad summary of duties will include:

• Production of timely and accurate Management Accounts.
• Lead the month-end routines.
• Labour Variance analysis.
• Review of all new costings and margins.
• Calculation of accruals and prepayments to appropriate levels.
• Managing pension, payroll taxes, and deductions.
• VAT submissions and compliance.
• Assist in generating profit improvement reports by undertaking P&L analysis—highlighting trends, comparison against prior year and budget, and explaining findings to management both historically and forward-looking.
• Balance Sheet control and reconciliations.
• Generate ad-hoc information to support business performance analysis.
