Management Accountant | Retail | Manchester | £45k-£50k + bonus | US Owned Retail Business

Job Overview:

Axon Moore are delighted to be working alongside a high growth retailer who are looking to bring in a high calibre Senior Management Accountant into their team to support the ongoing growth of the business. Whilst this multi million pound t/o US owned retailer continues to grow at an exciting rate, the organisation also prides itself on an excellent work-life balance and a flexible environment. This South Manchester based business is ideal for individuals looking for a step up in a high growth environment as part of a well regarded team.

This role will be an excellent step up for a recently or newly qualified Management Accountant, looking for increased responsibility. The position will report directly to the Head of Finance with the opportunity to manage more junior team members.

This role would be ideally suited to any individual currently working in a large, or SME Retailer, or omni-channel business setting, with proven experience of working in a Management Accounts role.

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £50,000

Benefits: Bonus, flexible working, hybrid working, 4% employer pension, 25 days annual leave

Responsibilities:

1. Management of up to 2 junior team members.
2. End to end management accounts.
3. Support the Finance Director and Head of Finance with ad-hoc commercial reporting.
4. Month end consolidation.
5. Support with the year end process when required.
6. VAT returns and Corporation Tax.
7. Oversee the outsourced Payroll function.

Person Specification:

1. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA)
2. Advanced Excel skills.
3. Experience working within a Management Accountant role.
4. High level of organisation skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where systems and processes are continuing to be implemented.
