Overview

The Senior Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a well-established and growing organisation.

The role is working with a well-established business in central Brighton. Working on a hybrid basis, you will be overseeing multiple companies within the Group structure.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, as well as P&L, Balance Sheet etc.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to support business planning.
  • Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with auditors.
  • Manage the property finance inbox (with support).
  • Manage cash flow and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with various departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and reporting systems.
Qualifications
  • Professional qualifications in accounting such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality/property or related industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
