Job summary

Go Fractional invites applications for a Senior Management Accountant to join the UK Opex Finance team in Leeds on a 14‑month fixed‑term contract. You will deliver timely management information and meaningful insights to drive business decisions.

Ideal candidates are part‑qualified or newly qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with ownership of P&L areas, accruals, monthly Opex reporting, variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) looking to further develop their technical expertise and business partnering skills
• Take ownership of specific P&L areas within the monthly management accounts for UK Opex
• Prepare, review and challenge accruals and prepayments, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment
• Deliver clear monthly Opex reporting with variance analysis
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure issues are resolved promptly
• Partner with FP&A to support monthly reforecasting and budgeting cycles
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance Opex reporting and month-end processes
• Respond to ad-hoc financial analysis requests from senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own specific P&L areas within the monthly UK Opex management accounts.
• Prepare, review and challenge accruals and prepayments with robust supporting documentation.
• Deliver clear Opex reporting including variance analysis against budget/forecast.
• Provide high-quality commentary and insights into drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve issues promptly.
• Partner with FP&A for reforecasting and budgeting cycles.
• Identify process improvements to enhance Opex reporting and month-end processes.
• Respond to ad-hoc financial analysis requests from senior stakeholders.

• Part‑qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA preferred)
• Strong technical accounting foundation with experience of management accounting and month end close
• Analytical and detail oriented, with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into clear business insight
• Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with non‑finance stakeholders and challenge constructively where appropriate
• Well organised and resilient, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
