Job title: Senior Management Accountant

Department: Finance

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the role

Overall responsibility for the production of timely and accurate management accounts for the Activate Accident Repair Group and providing key finance business partnering support to the Bodyshop Managers of each of the sites. To manage the Management Accountants completing full and thorough reviews of the Management accounts packs for each site and ensuring the monthly meetings are taking place. Driving performance against set targets and providing strong leadership and direction to the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide and review in full accurate monthly management accounts for all sites within Activate Accident Repair Group (AAR), including P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, recommendations and commentaries. Presenting the results to the relevant business managers, CFO and CEO.
  • Manage cash flow and resource effectively at all times.
  • Working with budget holders to provide robust budgets and forecasts for AAR.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of processes to improve efficiency and the control environment of AAR.
  • Responsible for the year-end closing activities including audit and liaising with external auditor
  • Providing support to the CFO and CEO where require
  • Adhere to all relevant regulatory rules and guidance applicable to the role.
  • Work with the business managers and hold monthly budget review meetings to produce budgets for AAR along with regular forecasts.
  • Manage the Management Accountants for each site.
