Job description

SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a growing and dynamic business in Dudley who are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to support the Finance Director in delivering high-quality management accounting across the UK business.

This is a hands-on role offering exposure to all aspects of management accounting, reporting, and business partnering within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyse weekly and month-end margin reports, providing insight into trends and variances.
  • Review overhead costs and investigate variances against budget.
  • Analyse manufacturing costs, including yield performance, and work with Operations to drive efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve stock control and enhance stock turn performance.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Produce daily and monthly KPI reports and provide actionable insights to the business.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and notes to the accounts.
  • Maintain and manage the fixed asset register in line with accounting policies.
  • Lead preparation for the annual audit and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide cover for the Financial Accountant when required and support system/process improvements.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or Finalist
  • Proven experience in management accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial information to non-finance colleagues.
  • Experience within the manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial awareness, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and lead small finance teams.
