Senior Management Accountant - Peacocks

At Peacocks, we offer a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance department at our Head Office in Cardiff. If you are interested in being part of a forward-thinking business with excellent career prospects, we would love to hear from you.

With a store portfolio of approximately 340 stores and an expanding ecommerce business, we are increasing our headcount to support growth over the next 3-5 years.

You will report to the Head of FP&A, working closely with them and the Finance Director to develop the company's strategic plan, as well as analyze and report on performance across key areas including Ecommerce, Distribution Centre, Shops, and Central Control Costs.

Responsibilities include:

1. Overview of monthly management accounts for Retail, Logistics, and Central costs
2. Production of weekly trading packs
3. Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and latest views — accuracy is crucial for cash forecasting
4. Production and analysis of Store P&L’s
5. Production and analysis of E-commerce P&L
6. Monthly review meetings with budget holders
7. Quarterly store-by-store review meetings with Regional Managers
8. Preparation of monthly P&L Packs
9. Interpretation of all financial/management information and making recommendations to senior management
10. Providing financial management information to support strategic and operational decisions
11. Challenging and supporting the commercial management team on financial matters, both short and long term
12. Ad-hoc trading analysis of promotions and offers

Candidate Profile:

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, V-Lookups minimum)
• Flexible and diplomatic approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to interact with senior financial and non-financial stakeholders across the business on various financial and non-financial matters
