Qualifications

  • Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in financial reporting and management accounting.
  • Technically strong with good knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience of working with international entities and working with external advisors to meet tax and compliance requirement.
  • Experience working with external auditors.
  • Proficiency in financial software (D365 preferred) and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The Senior Management Accountant Netherlands/Belgium is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the Netherlands/Belgium businesses, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements for the Netherlands/Belgium businesses. The Senior Management Accountant Netherlands/Belgium plays a key role in driving efficiency within the finance team and ensuring the company meets its financial objectives.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations in line with internal deadlines.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, including foreign exchange considerations, and review overheads and non-operating expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures, statutory reporting (local GAAP), tax filings (e.g. VAT, corporate tax), and regulatory requirements such as SGR/SGRZ/CFR.
  • Liaise with auditors, payroll providers, and local teams to ensure timely audits, payroll processing, and statutory submissions.
  • Lead and inspire the finance team, fostering collaboration and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with international stakeholders, including regional GMs and FP&A, to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational cost analysis.
  • Drive systems and process improvements to enhance automation, data accuracy, and accessibility for key stakeholders.

Key Skills/Experience Required

  • Technically strong with good knowledge of IFRS.
