Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Senior Mammographer for St Albans City Hospital. The post is 15 hours per week, with duties including supervising juniors and coordinating with the Radiology team to deliver high-quality breast imaging services.

The role requires HCPC registration and postgraduate qualifications in Mammography, with collaboration across Radiology and Breast services to meet performance standards.

Qualifications

• BSc or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography with HCPC registration.
• Postgraduate certificate/diploma in Mammography.
• Management/Leadership qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Mammography and NHS Breast Screening Programme.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral member of the mammography and one stop breast services at St Albans City Hospital.
• Deputise for the Lead Mammographer in their absence and support departmental priorities.
• Supervise junior staff and students.
• Collaborate with Lead Mammographer, Breast Consultants and Radiology management.
