Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Mammographer to join the radiography team at St Albans City Hospital. The role is 15 hours per week, spread over two days, and involves providing high-quality mammography services and supporting Radiology teams.

You will supervise junior staff and students and deputise for the Lead Mammographer when required, contributing to departmental priorities and patient care within the NHS framework.

Qualifications

• BSc or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography required.
• Post graduate certificate/diploma in Mammography required.
• HCPC registration required.
• Management/Leadership qualification or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral member of the mammography and one stop breast services at St Albans City Hospital.
• Work closely with Lead Mammographer, Breast Consultant, Radiology Breast Consultants and Radiology management team.
• Supervise junior staff and students.
• Depose for the lead Mammographer in their absence and support to deliver departmental priorities.
• Contribute to achieving performance standards and targets.
