Job summary

Sightsavers, UK-based with regular travel to the Haywards Heath office, seeks an experienced Head of Major Donor Fundraising to lead the next growth phase of our high value donors programme.

You will develop a long-term strategy within our Fundraising and Marketing directorate, oversee income and expenditure planning, and personally manage a focused portfolio of six-figure supporters while building strong internal and external partnerships.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading or managing a high value fundraising programme.
• Proven track record of securing six-figure gifts and cultivating long-term donor relationships.
• Ability to translate strategy into practical fundraising plans with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a long-term major donor growth strategy and objectives.
• Leading income and expenditure planning, forecasting and performance monitoring.
• Motivating and developing the major donor team to achieve exceptional cultivation.
• Overseeing portfolio management, pipeline reviews and donor triage.
• Personally managing a focused portfolio of high-value donors and prospects.
• Building internal relationships to identify funding opportunities and cases for support.
• Representing Sightsavers externally with donors and networks.
