Role Overview

Hinkley Point A, currently undergoing decommissioning, offers upcoming projects such as waste processing, plant demolition, and asset management. The role involves maintaining and repairing electrical systems across these operations.

Candidate Profile

Proven electrical maintenance experience on equipment like batteries, distribution, lighting, control systems, motor controls, cranes, elevators, and electrical wiring installation is essential.

Work Schedule

Contractual hours are Monday - Thursday, 07:25 - 17:00, ideal for those seeking a four-day workweek.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Identify faults, propose solutions, and document findings.
• Conduct electrical installations following design and regulations.
• Prepare work instructions and risk assessments.
• Analyze data and advise on additional work needs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds, BTEC, NQF Level 3 or equivalent (essential).
• Desirable: IET Wiring Regulations – 18th Edition, experience with Radiation Regulations, and previous nuclear environment exposure.
