Senior Maintenance Technician, Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering - IntlRME

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is central to Amazon's commitment to innovation. As Amazon evolves, this team ensures that the tools and technologies we use stay up-to-date. As a Senior RME Technician, you'll help us adopt the latest technologies and identify efficient ways of working. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards through process monitoring and implementing upgrades to enhance those standards.

Key job responsibilities

1. Demonstrate best practices in equipment safety and monitor teams to ensure process compliance.
2. Track equipment performance via visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventive maintenance, scheduling additional servicing as needed.
3. Supervise technicians on shift, support their development, and serve as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
4. Resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure rapid package processing.
5. Assist in system improvements and standardize processes across the Mexico network.

A day in the life

During each shift, you'll lead your team to ensure equipment availability and proper functioning. This involves process monitoring to adhere to regulations and policies, and performing preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime. You'll observe operational processes, suggest and implement efficiency improvements across the BR-wide function, and monitor system performance using tools like SCADA. Close collaboration with your line manager on administrative tasks is also part of your role.

This position is based at one of our operational sites. You will work in shifts, which may include weekends and nights. As you gain experience, you'll be positioned for advancement into more senior roles.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
• At least 1 year of experience in automated conveyor systems, electrical/electronic principles, preventative maintenance, blueprint reading, industrial controls, PLC programming, NEC standards, and work order management
• Experience using CMMS for maintenance planning and recording tasks
• Intermediate English (B1+)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Vendor management experience
• Experience with robotic maintenance
