Senior Maintenance Technician

Wakefield, West Yorkshire

3-week rota: Days - 05:45 - 14:00; Back - 13:45 - 22:00; Night - 21:45 - 06:00; Sunday following Night shift - 06:00 - 13:30

Salary plus shift allowance per annum

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Technician to join our team at the Wakefield Depot. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of maintaining and enhancing our mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Your responsibilities will include Planned Preventative Maintenance, quick resolution of system breakdowns, defect repairs, and the overall upkeep and optimization of our depot facilities and automation systems.

Role Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of volume picking machinery through scheduled maintenance.
• Engage and manage external contractors.
• Immediate response to any breakdowns with the production equipment in accordance with production hours.
• Assist and manage the delivery of Supply Chain technical projects.

This role requires standing and walking for most of your shift, as well as the ability to lift (up to 15kg), bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.

Key skills and qualifications:

• Minimum recognized Level 3 engineering, electrical, or mechanical qualification.
• Experience working within a maintenance department.
• Experience working with automated conveyor systems.
• Experience fault finding within electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Desirable: Management of a technical team.
