Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Engineer

Are you a well-qualified and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician or Engineer, with a background in process engineering industry, ideally energy from waste? Then we want to speak to you!

What will I be doing?

You'll ensure our Suffolk Energy Recovery plant is fully operational at all times. Your responsibilities include planning and executing a range of mechanical maintenance activities, leading and developing your team, and maintaining safety, health, and environmental standards. A cost-effective approach is important, but adhering to best practices is crucial. You will also lead junior members of the electrical maintenance team to perform at their best and provide specialist advice as needed.

What are the requirements?

This role requires a confident professional with experience in a heavy industry, specifically in a hands-on mechanical maintenance role. You should have an HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience) and good knowledge of environmental legislation. A Health & Safety qualification is advantageous, but we focus more on your leadership ability, technical communication skills, and capability to improve plant availability.
