What will the role look like?

• You will lead the site M&E department, which is an experienced team working across specialist areas such as Process, Production, Automation, Projects, Utilities, and site services.
• You will be responsible for leading the M&E roadmap onsite and working with UK peers to chart the course towards world-class maintenance and engineering practices, including the Arla Performance System, specialized topics relevant to the dairy industry, and specific dairy product production.
• You will be accountable for effective control and deployment of an annual multi-million-pound maintenance budget.
• You will work closely with Operations on the journey of Operator Asset Care improvement and expansion.
• You will develop the M&E department to provide the reliability and capability required as the site grows in size and strategic importance.
• As part of the Site Leadership Team, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of all strategic initiatives and plans for the site.

What do I need?

• A robust understanding of M&E within an automated, fast-moving manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding and experience working with M&E safety & compliance.
• Proven M&E-focused continuous improvement experience (TPM, WCM methodology preferred)
• Strong leadership experience with a focus on people development, having managed a M&E department with approximately 50 engineers.
• An appetite for creating positive change and experience in culture-led change management.
• We are looking for someone who gets the best out of others, who will lead, coach, motivate, and inspire people to perform daily.
• Unfazed by short-term priority changes while maintaining long-term goals.
• Capable of demonstrating and leading with a true sense of urgency to meet business needs.

• Arla Foods UK is the 2nd biggest dairy and the most complex across our UK supply chain.
• Processing approximately 2 million liters of our farmers' milk every day!
• Producing over 200 products across 14 filling lines, including brands like Cravendale & BoB filtered milk, Baileys, McDonald’s, and major retailers.
