As a Senior Engineer, you’ll help:

Design the layout and systems of our future-fit workshop

Shape the spares inventory and parts strategy

Influence what tooling, software, and test equipment we bring in

Define the standards and systems others will follow

This isn’t just a toolkit — it’s a chance to build the infrastructure that keeps our production

running for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

Lead on reactive and planned maintenance across all production machinery

Own and improve our PPM system — schedules, responsibilities, and optimisation

Be the go-to engineer for diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues

Support and mentor junior engineers and apprentices, developing their skills and

ownership

Collaborate with the Production team to anticipate issues and respond to downtime

quickly

Work across systems including conveyors, weighers, chillers, sealers, mixers, and

packaging lines

Input into machine upgrades, modifications, and automation projects

Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and engineering best practice

Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and downtime trends

Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects

What You’ll Bring

Proven experience in a senior or lead maintenance role within FMCG or food

production

Hands-on skills in both mechanical and electrical disciplines (approx. 60/40 or 50/50

split)

Ability to lead fault-finding on PLC-driven and automated systems

Strong understanding of VFDs, motors, sensor logic, solenoids, and 3-phase

machinery

Confident fabricator: basic welding, repairs, and modifications

Clear communicator and calm under pressure

High standards of compliance and safety culture

Passion for coaching others, setting a great example, and raising the bar
