Job summary

Sigma Recruitment Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance and safety across a self-contained site of around 90 people, covering CNC machining, grinding and more.

Salary £44,000–£48,000 depending on experience, with up to 7.5% matched pension, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, life assurance up to 5x basic salary, and a 37.5-hour week (Mon-Thu 08:00–16:30, Fri 08:00–13:30).

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance in a manufacturing setting with electrical and CNC experience.
• Experience scheduling preventative maintenance.
• Experience managing contractors and coordinating external service providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead site and machine maintenance, infrastructure and utilities.
• Build and run a preventative maintenance programme to cut downtime.
• Coordinate and control contractors and external specialists, ensuring safe delivery.
• Support risk assessments and safe systems of work.
